Terms and conditions
Please read these terms carefully before purchasing. By completing a purchase on jaydocs.co.uk, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
1. About JayDocs
JayDocs (trading name of Jessica Johnson, sole trader) is a UK-based compliance documentation business. We supply ready-made, editable compliance document packs and toolkits to regulated health and social care providers. Our registered contact address is Aspen Elginshill Elgin. You can reach us at hello@jaydocs.co.uk.
2. Products and delivery
2.1 What we sell
JayDocs sells digital compliance document packs, toolkits, templates, and related materials ("Products"). All Products are supplied as digital files - no physical goods are dispatched.
2.2 Delivery
Following successful payment, your Products will be made available to you as a digital download. Delivery is typically instant or within a short automated processing period. If you experience any issue receiving your files, please contact us at hello@jaydocs.co.uk and we will resolve it promptly.
2.3 Availability
All Products are offered subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any Product at any time without notice. Withdrawal of a Product will not affect any purchase already completed.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely at the point of purchase. We do not store your payment details. Prices are subject to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed and paid for.
4. Licence and permitted use
4.1 What you are buying
When you purchase a JayDocs Product, you are purchasing a licence to use the document files, not ownership of the underlying intellectual property. All copyright and intellectual property rights in our Products remain with JayDocs.
4.2 What you may do
Your licence permits you to:
-
Download and store the files for your own use.
-
Edit, adapt, and complete the documents for use within your own organisation or registered care service.
-
Add your own branding, staff names, and service-specific details.
-
Use the completed documents as working compliance records within your service.
4.3 What you may not do
Your licence does not permit you to:
-
Resell, redistribute, share, or make available any JayDocs Product (in original or adapted form) to any third party.
-
Use the documents across multiple organisations, franchises, or registered services without purchasing a separate licence for each.
-
Remove or obscure any JayDocs branding, attribution, or copyright notices from the original template files.
-
Use our Products as the basis for a competing compliance documentation product or service.
-
Sub-licence or transfer your licence to any other person or organisation.
4.4 Consultants and third-party advisers
If you are a compliance consultant, care adviser, or third-party professional who wishes to use JayDocs Products within client engagements, the standard single-organisation licence does not cover this use. Please contact us via the Consultants/Third Party page on our website to discuss licensing arrangements appropriate to your situation.
5. Refunds and cancellation
5.1 Digital products - no right of return
Because our Products are digital files that are made available to you immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge and agree that your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply once the download has been made available to you. By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel from that point.
5.2 Faulty or misdescribed files
If the files you receive are materially faulty (e.g., corrupted or unopenable) or are materially different from what is described on the product page, please contact us at hello@jaydocs.co.uk within 14 days of purchase. We will investigate promptly and, where appropriate, provide corrected files or a refund at our discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5.3 Change of mind
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, failure to read the product description before purchasing, or dissatisfaction with the template style or content if it has been accurately described on the product page.
6. Accuracy and limitation of advice
JayDocs Products are designed to support compliance documentation in CQC-regulated homecare services and are written by an experienced former Registered Manager. However:
-
Our Products are templates and frameworks, they are not a substitute for professional legal, regulatory, or compliance advice specific to your service.
-
CQC guidance, legislation, and inspection frameworks change over time. You are responsible for ensuring that any documents you use remain current and appropriate for your service.
-
We do not guarantee that use of our Products will result in any particular CQC rating or inspection outcome.
-
JayDocs accepts no liability for any regulatory, financial, or operational consequence arising from your use or adaptation of our documents.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
-
JayDocs shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from your use of our Products.
-
Our total liability to you in connection with any purchase shall not exceed the price you paid for the relevant Product.
-
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the JayDocs website and within our Products (including text, templates, document structures, layout, and branding) is the intellectual property of JayDocs and is protected by UK copyright law. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of our content is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
